I love this time of year in Byron Bay, the weather is perfect and most people are on holidays enjoying the Easter long weekend . Byron is full of visitors for the Blues Fest ( a big music festival held in Byron Bay every April) and there are parties happening all over town. Alida and Miller were approached to create A Midautumn Night's Dream 25th birthday party, and of course we jumped at the opportunity. A Midautumn Night's Dream is based on the Shakespearean tale A Midsummers Night's Dream, full of fairies, flowers and woodland ideas and being autumn our colour scheme revolved around yellows, browns, greens, whites, with twigs, vines, fairy lights and an abundance of flowers. Our brief, style the bedrooms and quest accommodation for the 30 quests that will be staying and turn their living and dinning area into a woodland wonder land for their 50 party guests. While researching design suggestions I came across a lot of great ideas that I want to share with you for a wedding or party. Organising your own function can be really stressful, even if you have an Event Planner to guide you through the process, but if you have pictures, mood boards and some idea of what theme you might want for your Party or Wedding reception, then you are half way there.
